In search
of the perfect song, this artist has been influenced by different musical
forms from classical to rock only to rediscover an essential part of our
musical culture -The American Song Book.
Together with some
of the most talented musicians of the New York region, Deborah Joyce
is dedicated to keep this legacy thriving. These classic songs are brought
to life by her fresh voice and energetic musical interpretations of
her accompanists, making Jazz/Standards music embraceable for our era.
Deborah Joyce has
just recorded a 6 song CD demo of 3 Jazz/Standards and 3 Original songs.
She has chosen the acoustic format of piano bass violin and drums to
preserve the authenticity of such classics: The Way You Look Tonight,
All the Things You Are and 'Round Midnight. The same accompaniment was
applied to her originals (It's You, I Gotta Go, I Am Free) giving a
Jazz 'feel' to these contemporary compositions.
Over the years Deborah
Joyce has fronted many bands covering Top 40/Rock, Classic Rock, Acoustic
Adult Contemporary styles - just to mention her extensive exposure and
love for live performances. These various bands have given her the opportunity
to travel around the country and play many clubs and community events
in her hometown of Long Island, New York.
As founder of the
vocal studio, The CAN-DEE Music Company, Deborah teaches children and
adults - beginners and professionals the technique of voice building.
Her studio is located in Floral Park, New York. Students are home taught
in Eastern Nassau County and Western Suffolk County, Long Island.

her band are available for booking music for clubs, corporate events,
